Industry News Noah's Ark Self Storage Sports New Logo Noah's Ark Self Storage is sporting a new look with a logo and signage re-design. "After more than a decade under the rainbow sky, we decided it was time for a fresh, eye-catching update," said Ann Parham, president and founder of Joshua Management. "Our new logo, animals in silhouette, two-by-two, against a citrusyellow background, can be easily seen for blocks on our store pylon signs." All new Noah's Ark facilities are, or will be, flying the new colors; the Balboa and Rock Springs locations are scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2009. The existing Noah's stores are also making the switch. "At this time, all of our Florida stores have unfurled the black and yellow, and two-thirds of our San Antonio stores are sporting the new colors." The Noah's Ark Self Storage website, www. n o a h s a r k s t o ra g e. c o m , is currently in renovation and will soon be released with the updated motif. SiteLink and XPS Services, Ltd. Form Partnership SMD Software, Inc., maker of SiteLink for self-storage and portable storage management, and XPS Services, Ltd., have announced a partnership to provide integrated call center solutions for SiteLink users. XPS Services, Ltd., offers complete lifecycle reservation solutions including lead generation, a reservation center, and marketing analysis. Through a secure Internet connection, XPS can access pertinent real-time site data from SiteLink Web Edition. This allows XPS's reservation consultants to provide leads with up-todate unit availability, prices, and specials. XPS can then make reservations, take payments, and assist customers with account management. The call center integration gives storage owners peace of mind knowing that every lead receives immediate attention, and in turn more of those leads are converted to rentals. On the Move Recognized Amazing Spaces Adds New Positions The company has also named Nathan Curtess as its new head of franchise sales and development. Curtess has been with Amazing Spaces for five years and previously held the position of property manager. The company began offering franchise opportunities in late 2008 with a higher than predicted response and expects to close on several franchise agreements within the first six months of 2009. In addition, Doug Gardow, who served as Amazing Spaces' area manager for the past nine years, has been appointed the company's new director of IT operations. Jennifer Byrne will take the position of executive office administrator. Scott Tautenhahn, who co-founded Amazing Spaces with his wife Kathy, is excited about the direction the company is headed. "We are planning to expand by adding two properties in 2009, and franchising companies typically grow exponentially both during and after a down economy," he said. "So the future is looking bright for Amazing Spaces!" At last fall's Texas Self Storage Association expo, On The Move, Inc. (OTM) celebrated their 15th anniversary in downtown San Antonio.
